St. Ives boutique hotel refurbish ideas

This was a project set at university:
We visited a live site in St.Ives and were briefed to redesign the interior of the Mariners Gallery (formally a chapel) into a luxury boutique hotel.

My aim was to show a clear contrast and juxtaposition between the original structure and the new contained objects that sat within the spaces. The idea for the hexagonal room pods is from echoing the chapels nave and continuing the same shape through to the rooms. This also gave the rooms a unique and rememberable selling point.......
